Just stared watching MAD MEN on Netflix. I know, I’m only 5 years behind, but that’s me. If you knew me I never watch what everyone else is watching at the “right” time. Having a hard time sticking with seeing all the chauvinism and bigotry, reliving that era is tough. We still have a long way to go, though we’ve made strides. I do like the fashion and setting, plus the acting is stellar. However, all that SMOKING, I feel for the actors (they have to stink) and thinking about everyone is real life who must have died of lung cancer too. My mind drifts to Adrienne Rich poems, Gloria Steinem writings and even Diane Arbus photos watching episodes. While one sect of society was living this life, the artists were living theirs.
